INDUS VALLEY CIVILIZATION, EGYPT MESOPOTAMIA
Indus Mesopotamian relations are told to have developed in the 2nd half of the 3rd millennium BCE
till they came to the halt with the extinction of the Indus Valley civilisation. It is said that
Mesopotamia had already developed through trade; the trade referring to lapis lazulli- the deep blue
metamorphic rock that was considered a semi precious stone. Mesopotamia had already been linked to Egypt;
in 3200 BCE through trade of semi precious raw materials. The Indus Valley civilisation was a Bronze Age
civilisation in the northwestern regions of South Asia. Along with the Indus Valley, Ancient Egypt and
Mesopotamia were one of the three early civilisations of the Old world and coincided through out their
history in cultural transmissions and trade.
