With this diverse base of artisans, IVRI is poised to create connections to designers locally and globally, to develop a range of products using inherent crafts knowledge to create relevant items for the international consumer market.
Based in Islamabad, IRVI has the capacity to identify host environments where short- and long-term training workshops can be held to undertake the necessary research on traditional arts and then through a hybrid model of co-learning, co-teaching and co-creating, a line of products can be created via collaborative associations and partnership administered by the IRVI team.
IRVI will play the role of catalytic converter, connecting international companies as partners, finding them the best match for their idea, training the relevant people, and ensuring that the IRVI network of craftsman are involved and engaged in the most sustainable, respectful and commercially viable construct for their benefit within this social entrepreneurship programme.
IRVI will also host academic residencies and fellowships for students or professionals working in these field: historians, archaeologists, cultural anthropologists, architects, earth architects and anyone working on a revival of embodied education through Nature, earth and knowledge that we carry in our lineage, bringing together lost and shared histories, decolonizing our present education systems and giving birth to a new narrative for how to look at identity.
Please feel free to email us any questions you may have or send us a proposal of what you might like to work on with us, our team across Pakistan and our artisan network.
